my debut novel is out

My debut novel Kitten is officially out everywhere today

I’ll be running around bookstores in Brooklyn signing copies and trying not to freak out

(the first bookstore I’m visiting is Center for Fiction, which amazingly longlisted Kitten for its First Novel Prize, eek)

Had my UK launch in London last week and it was the best party of my life

Can’t believe I get to do it all over again today in New York

signed pre-orders at Yu & Me yesterday and saw so many names that surprised me, the first friend I made in middle school but haven’t spoken to since then, old co-workers, friends of friends and even someone from Australia!!

my parents flew into NY, you can see them in the reflection in the mirror, it makes me smile

hmm, what else is there to say - I went on the Barnes & Noble Poured Over podcast, adored the conversation

last night I had dinner with my family at a Georgian restaurant where we had khachapuri and saperavi (iykyk)

apparently Kitten is one of Foyles’ top 10 books this week
